Sauerkraut Brownies

Ingredients (makes 4-5 brownies) 
  • 200g pitted dates
  • 40g ground almonds
  • 30g classic sauerkraut, finely chopped
  • handful of walnuts
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Method 

  • Finely chop the sauerkraut on a chopping board
  • In a mixer, add the dates, ground almonds, cacao powder. Process until the mixture is sticking together. Mix in the sauerkraut
  • Place baking paper on a plate. Spread the brownie mix press to even it out. Once pressed, press walnuts pieces on top of the brownies
  • Place in the fridge to allow the brownies to set for around 20-30 minutes. Remove from the fridge and cut into 4-5 squares
