Sauerkraut Millet Bowl

Back to high school math :

Grain bowl = carbs+ proteins+vitamins+minerals

Grain bowl + probiotic Sauerkraut = everything our body needs!


Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 2 tbsp classic Sauerkraut 
  • One cup millet
  • 1 cup kidney beans, soaked overnight 
  • 1 cucumber, chopped into disks
  • ½ cup bell peppers, chopped small
  • ½ cup Tomatoes, chopped small
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste 

 

Method:

  • Boil to cook millet with salt as per instructions on the pack 
  • Drain and cool millet for 2 hours
  • Pressure cook kidney beans with little salt for 3 whistles, drain and cool
  • Add cooked millet and kidney beans into a bowl. Add olive oil and  mix
  • Arrange the veggies and sauerkraut as you like to create a beautiful bowl
  • Pour some almond/cashew butter or sauce of your choice
