HOW TO MAKE

4 STEPS.
FRESH SPROUTS.

1
SOAK THE SEEDS
Add 2 tbsp seeds to the jar. Cover with water. Soak 6–8 hours overnight.
2
DRAIN + RINSE
Tilt jar to drain through the sprouting lid. Rinse twice. Lay jar at angle on the stand.
3
RINSE TWICE DAILY
Morning + evening. Drain fully each time. Keep at room temp, no direct sunlight.
4
HARVEST IN 2–3 DAYS
Sprouts are ready when tails are 1–2 cm long. Refrigerate. Eat over a week.
WHY UPGRADE

SPROUT MAKER
VS TRADITIONAL CLOTH.

A wet cloth holds moisture against seeds, breeding mould and that musty smell. The mesh-lid jar drains every rinse completely — clean airflow, faster sprouts, no surprises.

WHAT OUR
CUSTOMERS SAY.

Rhea
My very first batch and it just worked — fluffy moong sprouts by day three, crunchy and fresh. I didn't expect it to be this foolproof.

Tanya
Sprouts are my post-workout protein hit. I run a fresh batch every few days and keep restocking the seed packs — they've completely replaced store-bought.

Sudha
The old cloth-and-strainer method was a hassle, and half my batches turned out smelly. Now I make moong and chana sprouts for the whole family every week, fuss-free.

QUESTIONS?

COMMON
QUESTIONS.

How is this different from sprouting in cloth? +

Cloth holds moisture against the seeds, which causes mould and that musty smell. The mesh lid drains water completely after every rinse — seeds get airflow, no standing water. Cleaner, faster, no smell.

Do I need sunlight? +

No. Sprouts grow best at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. A kitchen counter works perfectly.

Which seeds can I sprout in this jar? +

Moong, chickpea, alfalfa, fenugreek (methi), mustard, broccoli, radish, lentils. Avoid kidney beans (toxic when raw-sprouted) and any seed not labeled sprouting-grade.

How often do I rinse? +

Twice a day — morning and evening. Drain fully each time. The whole process takes under 30 seconds per rinse.

How long do harvested sprouts last? +

Refrigerated, 5–7 days. Rinse before storing and pat dry. Eat raw in salads, stir-fry briefly, or add to khichdi at the end.

Is the jar dishwasher-safe? +

Yes — borosilicate glass and stainless steel mesh both go in the dishwasher. Hand-wash also works.

Can kids do this? +

Yes — it's a great kitchen science project. The transformation from seed to sprout in 2–3 days is genuinely fun to watch.

What if my seeds don't sprout? +

Most often the seeds were too old or stored in heat. We replace any non-germinating seed pack within 30 days — just write to support@gutbasket.com with a photo.
