It fits our 4 kg wide-mouth glass brewing jar snugly. The elastic stitching grips the rim, so you don't need a rubber band.
Why a cloth cover instead of a lid?+
Kombucha, water kefir and vinegar are open ferments — they need air. A sealed lid traps CO₂ and starves the culture. The cotton weave lets air through while keeping dust and fruit flies out.
How do I clean it?+
Machine or hand wash in mild detergent and air dry. Wash between batches.
